1. To Sir, with Love [4K UHD] (1967)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a classroom drama, To Sir, with Love feels dated and slight. Despite a strong lead performance from Sidney Poitier, it becomes too silly to succeed. Starring Sidney Poitier, Judy Geeson. Sony, $164.99, 10/25/2022.

2. In The Heat Of The Night (1967)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In the Heat of the Night hasn’t aged especially well, but it remains a fairly compelling piece of drama. Part of my interest in it stemmed from the “time capsule” element, since the film neatly documents the attitudes of its era, but it works as a mystery nonetheless, largely due to some solid acting. Starring Sidney Poitier, Rod Steiger. MGM, $14.98, 1/

4. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner: 40th Anniversary Edition (1967)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I think this Special Edition of Guess stands as the best version on the market, so it’s the one to buy for fans who don’t own the old disc. However, I’m not so sure it merits a “double dip” for those who already have the prior release. Audio remains the same, but visuals show only moderate improvements; don’t expect a great difference there. The added ex

8. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner (1967)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I understand the message of social tolerance promoted in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, but I can’t be the only viewer who found the methods used to be forced and illogical. The movie remains compelling due to a number of fine performances, but the entire piece can’t quite overcome the lack of common sense found in its tale ... This is a mediocre release.

9. Stir Crazy [Blu-Ray] (1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With two legends as its leads, Stir Crazy should’ve been a winner. However, it meanders too much and fails to use its acting talent as well as it should. Starring Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder. Image, $17.97, 1/24/2012.

10. Panic In The Streets [Blu-Ray] (1950)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A film noir with a theme that remains timely, Panic in the Streets eschews the usual “hunt for a killer” clichés. Sure, it does look for a baddie, but with a clever backdrop that makes matters more compelling. This adds up to a tight little drama. The Blu-ray provides very good picture, decent audio and a useful collection of supplements. I like the movi
